In his artistic practice, the artist; Subodh Kerkar has used recycled material. In essence, he has created sustainable art. For the last 20 years, he has been creating installations on the beach using sand and light. He had kilometers long electrical wire in his store room, which was rendered unsuitable for electrical use by rats. He ripped off the plastic cover from this wire and used the copper filaments for creating a disc. The disc thus becomes a symbol of sustainability.
