“The playfulness of the waves and the mysteries of the depth of the ocean have always fascinated me”, says Subodh Kerkar. He cites a lovely Tagore poem: “Water of a stream is sparkling and clear water of the ocean is dark and deep. Small truths are easy to fathom, great truths have great silence”. He imagines that the great laboratory churning varied elements in the womb of the ocean created life on this planet. Perhaps, this laboratory could spring many more surprises. He thinks of every evolved being, residing deep down in the ocean. He says, “One day they may decide to visit the shores. An invasion; or just a goodwill trip”.
