Navrasa: Aaghosham

This installation was commissioned by Bangalore International Airport Ltd. (BIAL), for their Arrival Level 1 – Terminal 2 Phase 1. The theme requested was Navrasas, the nine expressions described in Bharat Muni’s Natyashastras. The artist has created the performance installation working with Bharatnatyam dancers, women in sarees and the Halakki tribal women from Ankola area of Karnataka. 

This installation, which was created with the participation of about 70 women wearing Kerala sarees, celebrates the cultural ethos of Kerala. The installation was done in collaboration with Sabit and ⁠Sabitha Kumar, ⁠Jeff Kurien, ⁠Sachika Almeida and ⁠Priya Nair.
