Medium: Old boats
The artist describes himself as an "ocean artist," whose studio becomes the beach and whose muse and medium is the sea. By creating with sand, mussel shells, glass, and old boat parts, he pays homage to the ocean, evoking its memory and essence. His installations use minimal man-made materials, focusing instead on primal elements, boat and water, glass and sand, metal and earth. Like saints and poets who once brought art to the people, he believes today’s artists must move beyond galleries and create art that resonates with everyday lives and memories. “My boat,” he says, “must remember its journeys, the hands that built it, the songs of fishermen, and life around the sea. My art becomes a memory vessel - giving back to the sea what it gave me.”
