OCEAN ODYSSEY - COTTESLOE

Tourism Western Australia invited me to create a Performance Installation at Cottesloe beach for Sculpture by the sea. About 100 art enthusiasts participated in the project on the 9th of March 2026. Cottesloe is a beautiful beach town. The walkway which is about 15 meters above the beach offers a lovely view of the ocean in perpetual conversation with the sky. The place is like a stadium to witness the romance of the sky and the ocean. My installation is an ode to that romance. People walking wearing yellow gowns move mimicking the waves, paying tribute to the role of the ocean in creating civilizations. Participants celebrate the sunflower fields of Western Australia. They express their love for sunbathing and swimming. Is the installation also a thanksgiving ceremony to the sea wall which has protected the swimmers in Cottesloe? Art is open to all interpretations. Like the ocean art connects all humanity from all shores. Art is the Universal Language of Mankind! My installation is also an invitation to experience Western Australia.
