PASCOL GOMES AND SEASHELLS
For the first time I thought of sticking tiny shells on my acrylic canvases. Every beach in Goa is special. Different types of shells are washed ashore depending on the location. Bambolim beach has a lot of tiny shells of different shapes. When I went there to gather some, I met Pascol Gomes who was busy repairing his net. “Ten years ago, many shells were washed ashore during monsoons…. Now we get more plastic”. He lamented. I am happy that some shells will be permanently embedded in my paintings!
